The area of a square is 25 in2. What’s the perimeter of the square?

in.

Solution

The area of a square = Length of a side × Length of a side,

Length of a side=The area of a square ÷ Length of a side,

Perimeter of a square=4 ×Length of a side

Area = 25 in2 = 5  × 5

So the side length of the square =25 ÷ 5 = 5 in.

The perimeter of the square =4 × 5 = 20 in.
